Job Security
As an apprentice, then a journeyman, you'll have job

Excellent Wages
Current journeyman wages range from $17.00 per hour to $23.00
per hour. Apprentice wages are based upon a percentage of the
journeyman's hourly wage and advancements are made at six month
intervals. After the first two steps of the apprenticeship program,
you will receive pension, vacation, and holiday pay. |

Excellent Benefits
In addition to wages, apprentices have benefits that
provide for immediate health care along with several other excellent
benefits:
- Health Insurance - contractors
contribute $4.00 to $4.50/hour on your behalf. This is a family plan with
$500 per person, $1000 per family deductible, and an 75/25 payment
plan.
- Pension Plan - contribution
of $.50 - $.80/hour into a pension plan as an apprentice and
$1.50 - $3.50/hour as a journeyman.
- NEBF Annuity - on 3%
of gross wages.

- Disability Benefits -
Benefits start after a 14 day waiting period with a weekly disability
benefit of $300 with a maximum period of 52 weeks. Occupational
coverage is $40 with Workmen's Compensation supplement.

wages for apprentices.
